I really wanted to get the effect of watercolours in a painting of a stained glass window, but I knew I definitely didn't want to do just do a window straight on, totally static. After awhile I settled on this; it was fun experimenting not only with the effect of light coming through stained glass - which I feel I failed at - but also to play around with the whole effect of how the light would fall on other surfaces. I liked making the window NOT the main focus of the picture, and really enjoyed doing the contrast of cheerful bright light with that especially dark corners, and portraying the stones/bricks - solid, hard, cold objects - with soft vibrant tones and curved lines as well as straight ones. Very pleased with the experience, even if not 100% happy with the results.
*edit: for some reason the fullview isn't working from my computer. please comment and let me know if you can see it or if you're having trouble. thank you!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
